Concierge was only so-so, but guys at the desk were very sweet. Gorgeous and large swimming pool and very good gym. Last time I was there, I had a large room, though I thought it a bit dowdy. Have you thought about the Meridien Piccadilly? For the same reasons I like the Mayfair's location, I find it more convenient than Park Lane, notwithstanding the view issue. I haven't stayed at Grosvenor House it's reputedly a bit run down, but the restaurant is supposed to be quite good. I think there's a nice-looking pool, but I may be confused. The gym is one of those basement ones, small, cramped and windowless, but it does have an elliptical trainer (which is my litmus test), treadmills, stairmaster, bikes and some other equipment.
